What no blog?

Unfortunately no WiFi and no phone signal has meant no blogging : (
On our way to Boston today and flying home tomorrow, but here's a highlight.

See you all soon.

We're still alive!

We must be in the back of beyond as we've had no WiFi and no mobile phone signal for a few days. Just managing to get this out before they close it down at 9pm!!

Went whale watching today.....mmmm.....not a whale to be seen, bloody freezing and I (Peter) was seasick for the whole trip, started within sight of the dock and we took 3 hours to get back. As you can imagine Elaine had a great time!!!

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again am I going to sea.... shoot me if I suggest it (no need, Elaine will)

Apart from that we're having a good trip. Acadia really beautiful in the fall.

Better go now as Billy Bob and Mary Ellen want to shut down this new fangled WiFi thingy muh jig.

(Keep checking, you never know we might get to civilisation and some form of electronic communication again.)

End of day two

Moody Sunset

We were joined by hundreds of barn swallows.

Shall I?..... Shant I?

October in the North Atlantic brrrrrrrr.....

A walk on the beach

Baby lighthouses

This is where they grow the lighthouses... this one's only young, so it's not very tall yet.

Our first lightouse

Nauset lighthouse overlooking the North Atlantic.

Book him Danno....

For chasing milk float thieves ??

That's not a wig wam?

The natives seemed friendly, so we asked directions.

The Rock

So this is where it all started...Plymouth Rock. Not exactly awe inspiring.

Snap

Mayflower II in daylight

It was very windy so Elaine wore her favourite hat!!

Our room!

It's basic, but with all the essentials. Note the "en-suite" under the bed!

Only 3 groats a night!

Sunrise from the motel

Woke up to a nice sunrise from our motel room.

We've arrived ...

We picked up the car, endured Boston's Monday evening rush hour and like the Founding Fathers before us, arrived in Plymouth Harbour. A quick walk, and a night shot of the Mayflower and it's off to bed for us.

Our Plane - Tinker Belle

Boarding was fine, ready to take off 5 minutes early, but delayed 40 minutes due to air traffic congestion, but with a 97mph tail wind the flight was only 6hrs 12 mins!

Mmmmm Breakfast

Well, early lunch really, but just what you need before a long journey.
